“I Have My Flax Crackers…Now What?”
This may be a question that many of you may have, and it’s a good one. Flax crackers aren’t the traditional type of cracker that you sit down and eat by the handful (but if you do, make sure you drink LOTS of water lol); nevertheless, they’re a great addition to your daily health regimen.
Rawnata Flax Crackers are very versatile. One 28g serving – the equivalent of approximately two crackers – is all most people need to obtain their daily RDA of Omega 3’s. Omega 3’s are those essential fatty acids that your body can’t manufacture on its own and so needs to be obtained through food sources. If you’re not a fan of eating fish every day or swallowing cod liver oil pills, then flax is a great way to obtain them. Omega 3’s are essential for such things as: joint health, mood stability, heart health, and brain function.
So, now that you have your flax crackers…
Crush them finely in a coffee grinder and put them on your favourite yogurt
Smash them and toss them on a salad
Put some fancy mustard on them (we’re fans of Smak Dab)
Top with cheese (@BothwellCheese is our favourite)
Perk them up with pesto
Spread on some cream cheese and a thin slice of tomato or cucumber
Put on a layer of fruit spread (mmm, so many to choose from at the farmers markets!)
Eat them with tzatziki, hummus, or tapenade (we love Bessie’s Best)
