WARNING! They’re not very sweet – but that’s intentional; flax and cinnamon both work to stabilize blood sugar (making it great for diabetics), and we just don’t see any sense in messing with that 🙂 The cinnamon flavour really comes out when you put on a thin layer of apple butter, almond butter, or tahini…yum!
With 6 grams of protein per serving, they pack quite the nutritional punch. If they happen to arrive already crumbled because of a bumpy ride through the delivery process…no worries! They are perfect crumbled on salads or oatmeal. Even take things a step further: toss the crumbs in a little coffee grinder and make Cinnamon Goji flax meal to stir into yogurt.
